A catalogue transfer is a replacement-delivery process. Careful preparation helps services recognise the existing recording and release.

Gather the existing release records

Collect audio masters, artwork, artist and track metadata, contributor information, original release dates, rights information and existing identifiers.

Understand ISRCs and UPCs

An ISRC identifies an individual recording. A UPC or EAN identifies a release product. Copy identifiers accurately wherever the release journey supports their reuse.

Prepare the replacement delivery

Create the appropriate Indigenous Tunes account and submit complete release information. Do not assume that matching only the title or artist name is sufficient.

Do not delete the existing release first

Prepare and verify the replacement delivery before making changes with the previous distributor. Platform continuity cannot be guaranteed, and account-specific transfer support belongs in the Client Portal.
